Dreaming of a Winter Getaway
Published: 20th Jan 2026
Dreaming of a winter getaway with lots of sunshine, warm temperatures and being pampered.
As I sit here at my desk on a dark, cold January evening, drafting this message, I’m remembering how it was in Antigua at this time of the year. Warm and sunny with just an occasional passing shower. Average daytime highs around 28°C (82°F) with cooler but very pleasant evenings.
Last week we had snow and stormy weather, now it’s turned to steady rain and it’s been raining all day. What’s the weather like where you are?
How does a winter escape to warm sunshine sound? Picture somewhere warm and sunny with steady trade winds, clear seas perfect for water-sports and minimal rain. The Eastern Caribbean from the Virgin Islands to Grenada is now entering its dry season and as the days begin to lengthen a little the weather evolves into something truly blissful. Ashore on the islands the hills remain lush and green, the beaches are beautiful and the sea temperature is just right inviting you to stay in the water for as long as you like.
Experiencing this aboard a private yacht elevates the escape entirely. Your accommodation moves with you, days unfold at your own pace, and every detail from finding secluded anchorages to freshly prepared meals is taken care of. This isn’t a crowded resort. It’s just space, privacy and complete freedom. A luxury retreat where every detail is effortlessly handled.
Could I encourage you to contemplate a romantic getaway for two or a fun trip with friends? Picture romantic sunsets from private anchorages, explore secluded beaches and enjoy water-sports together all from a beautiful yacht. This is luxury travel indulging you in bespoke experiences, all with complete privacy, comfort, and flexibility.
